About the author: David C. Arena

David C. Arena began his investing career as a broker's assistant with a small independent firm in Cleveland, Ohio back in 1993. From there, he was hired as a Foreign Currency Broker, where he worked as a trader for several years. In 1996, he was recruited by then Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley) and became a retail broker. He worked in Dean Witter's World Trade Center office in Manhattan , NY , where he gained experience on the trading floors of the New York and American Stock Exchanges. In 1998, David was recruited by H&R Block when they began their full service brokerage services. He assisted top management with making the transition from tax services to brokerage.

In 1999, he moved over to TD Waterhouse in a similar role when they began an initiative to change from simply an online trading firm to a proactive asset gathering brokerage house. During his time with TD Waterhouse, David started IFG, Inc., which is the holding company for all financial related websites that he has founded including: 1stocktradingandinvestingsecrets.com, 1optionsadvisor.com, and 1forextrading.com. In 2001, David left TD Waterhouse to run IFG, Inc. exclusively. Today, he is President of IFG, Inc, which entails operating these websites including heading the trade research department, which provides trading alerts for the equity options and Forex markets. He no longer advises any retail investing clients, so that he can concentrate on helping students of his courses and trading for his own accounts.
